Foodie degenerates of the tine - what's a good brunch spot for Sunday? Don't care about fancy. Do care about great food. Wife probably wants mimosas but that's a secondary consideration. We're staying at a hotel Saturday night in downtown Htown. So anyplace between there and Katy is good.

Piggy's just outside of downtown has an awesome brunch and they've got a DJ that plays some great 70s & 80s music on Sundays
Hearsay downtown is always good as well

I did brunch at Hearsay back before Christmas, and I thought it was just ok.
There was another place we went a while back (recommended by folks here) that was better, but I forget the name. Let me see if I can find that thread and bump it.

Hearsay is the most often overrated place on earth. Good, not great. I say that as someone who still went there last week.
Can't believe I forgot about B&B Butcher. They've got a fantastic brunch

I had been there for dinner once years ago. When we went for brunch in December, our food came out REALLY fast. I think it was pre-prepared and had been sitting under a heat lamp. It didn't taste bad, I was just underwhelmed.

Oh and State of Grace iirc has a brunch menu and I've never had anything bad there.

Went to Lucilles a couple weeks ago and it was solid. Got the shrimp and grits.

While not technically "brunch", Lola on Yale is good for a breakfast/lunch combo.
