How long do you want to ignore this user?
We just finished building a pool, and I am looking for some suggestions on pool maintenance companies in the area.
Also, what is the going monthly rate?
TIA

From our experience in that area, $350-400/mo minimum if you cut some corners and do some of it yourself.

I did my own pool cleaning for years just like I used to mow my own yard for years. Since I started paying people to do those chores for me, life is much better.
It gets done on a regular schedule, and looks better than I ever did it.

Also, you might try Venture Pool service off of britmoore. They do a fine job and show up every week.
Approx $180 a month in spring branch.

$150ish per month is pretty standard around Houston and the suburbs. Can be done for about $30-$50 per month on average if you do it yourself. But, it's definitely a chore at times. Guess it all depends on how much your time is worth.

I use Third Coast in your area. They've done a good job. About $220/mo

Thanks everyone! The kiddos are excited and with work travel about to pick up again it will be nice to not worry about pool maintenance.

for those paying less than $200/month - is this weekly maintenance or every 2 weeks?

Also to the OP - GOOF pools are a nightmare for maintenance with all the trees. I don't know your lot situation but its a constant struggle at my house.

Yup, I have a large water oak that has convinced me to just hire someone to maintain the pool.

Ouch yall, yall paying these amounts are wild.

https://maytronicsus.com/product/residential/s300/

To clean your pool, This will run you around $1000 or so but I can promise you if you have a polaris in your pool this will be a significant upgrade.

Then if you are a chlorine pool, https://www.freshwatersystems.com/products/stenner-single-head-adjustable-pump-with-15-gallon-tank-1-tube-0-2-3-gpd-system-120-volt

This will put frequent liquid chlorine in your pool without raising CYA. Beyond that I add muratic acid in the pool maybe once a month or so and thats it.

In 1 month, I spend:
10 Minutes adding liquid chlorine to the pump system tank.
10 minutes cleaning the Dolphin cleaner filters
10 minutes cleaning the pool catch can things.
10 minutes adding Muratic acid.

Your payback if you bought everything above is $1500/$150 = 10 months, at $400 your payback is 3.5 months.

Hope this helps someone else as much as it did me.

Some of you guys must be the same folks that spend $30 an hour on childcare, $200 to have the house cleaned and $60 for lawn mowing.
