I figured them and Federal American Grill would be in a race to slap the expression on a sign out front.

They were also some of the first to not require masks when the mandate dropped. Ed and Nina are good people.

This may be an unpopular sentiment on here....while I may agree with it, I don't go out to eat to see a political statement. I tend to stay away from restaurants that make a political statement one way or the other.

Lol that's where I'm at too. But you know what, they live and die by it. If it's something liberal I may not go back there again, but no reason people can't go the other way either. Put your money where your mouth is (I feel like this is very applicable for restaurants haha). Also, a coffee cup ain't nothing to get worried about. A whole "Rush Room", on the other hand...my dad would have gone there every week had he known about THAT lol.

Didn't know ToT were conservative, will have to make sure we do a Christmas there again...

I used to kind of agree with this, but nowadays? F that. Everything, from media, to social media, to Hollywood, to sports, to big corporations, to education, to the arts and literature is overwhelmingly woke-liberal. We are constantly inundated with it and there's no escaping it. I may actually get fired if I don't obey president poopie pants silly decree to get vaccinated.

If a conservative establishment wants to wear their ideology on their sleeve here and there, I support them. It's refreshing to me that not ever single f-ing thing is batsh** crazy liberal.

But I get that some of you get off on trying to falsely equivocate the left and the right in an effort to make yourself feel superior and righteous, or enlightened, or something.

As mentioned, Edd Hendee had a long-running conservative talk show on KSEV. He and his wife are self-made in the restaurant business, starting from dishwashers before they cobbled the money together to start their own enterprise. Their approach to customer service is Chik fil a esque adopted to a higher end establishment. They're pretty successful at what they do. And they continue to pay their blessings back tenfold through the number of scholarships they've awarded to employees over the years. Ms. Hendee is a longtime hostess of Texas history tours/lessons for school children at the restaurant using in part the historic memorabilia that decorates the business.

In other words, if one unobtrusive political message being associated with a restaurant drives you to saying "just shut up and cook", then TOT was already not the place for you.
The story isn't that [DeSantis] "couldn't win" the primary. The story is that an overwhelming majority of our population is heinously stupid. 50% of them vote for communists. 75% of the remaining 50% vote for Trump, who cant win. When the majority of the opposition party insists on voting for an opposition candidate who can't win, you get exactly the government you deserve. - Well Endowed Ag

I sum it up this way

I already liked and encouraged others to dine there

This just makes it all the more compelling.

I'm not big on mixing politics and dining but I am big on a giant block of cheddar cheese I can slice off however much I want. So I don't give a sheet either way about some mug and will continue to patronize ToT.

You seem fun. Yes. I'm very enlightened and superior. Why I like to post pictures of t-ts on here as much as I can. Have a beer.

The owners are Ags the Hendees. Their kids are Ags, too. Great food. I support them because they also do a lot a benevolent work for which they seek no attention or thanks. Great people.
