I think Mellow Mushroom closed. All the signage was down.

And I think it is going to be another windy day, so outdoor dining may be a beating.

I noticed it as part of my regular "dad joke", where while driving on Shepherd near there I say "I wonder if there is anywhere that has pizza around here" and avoid looking at the big pizza arrow sign pointing at Mellow Mushroom. I started doing it the other day and said, "I really don't know where to get pizza".

Postino might be the move if this is a lunch date and not just lunch.
Problem with Postino's patio during lunch is all of the road noise from the traffic on Yale. A Friday at lunch will be a hell of a lot of traffic. Just my personal take on that

He said Heights, but just up 45 is the best outdoor date place in the entire Tine and it hasn't been mentioned yet.

Mellow Mushroom had great food but one of the worst service experiences of my life. Still a bit surprised to see it go.

Mellow was my fiance and my's Friday night standard for months. I've not seen someone as incompetent as the host and many of the wait staff actually function in the real world. That said, service in the bar was always pretty good and service overall had gotten better the last three or so months.

That place is nothing more than a bar for parents to drink at while they're kids play.

Great spot to take the entire family but no way would step foot in there if I didn't have kids much less on a date.

The more I think about it the more I want to say that this would make for a miserable date.
