Getting quotes for new vinyl windows to replace our original aluminum single pane windows. I came across a company in the Heights called Houston Window Experts. Anyone familiar or have experience with this company? They carry various brands and appear to be highly rated on Google.

Currently considering Pella vinyl windows but have been intrigued by Windsor and Amsco which are comparative in price to our Pella quote.

Happy for any thoughts or suggestions in things to consider during the process.

It is definitely beneficial to replace single pane windows. What kind of money per window? Single story? Pella and Anderson have multigenerational paybacks.
Single story home. We are pricing the premium colors ($$$...) per the wifes preference so currently seeing around $950/window fully installed..

Renewal by Anderson full glass and vinyl frame were CRAZY expensive. ($2500 per window) Power Home Remodeling was more reasonable. (~$1000 per window

I'm having Window World out soon to quote me vinyl windows.

Several people I know have used:
Mata Window
6714 Latchmore LN
Houston, TX 77049
(713) 518-2006

One guy I know personally had 6 windows replaced for ~$800??? The product has got to be something inferior to what the other suppliers are using but... eh? I'm considering it...

Grogan quoted/sold us Jeld-Wen Premium series for single hung, builder series for all others (fixed arched windows), installed by a small family company (D&D Windows) - both great experiences.

to add more, install was ~$200 per window into brick exterior. 26 total windows various sizes and shapes, all custom sizes. total for windows was ~$9000.

Just had Power Home Remodeling give a quote and decided to go with it. Roughly 1k per window. Far more reasonable than RbA and I bought into the sales pitch on quality more than the Window World options. Roughly 8-10 week leadtime so should get in around Mid December.

Had good luck with Window World in the past.

They're still a viable option for us. Post when you get it done please! I'll be interested to see how they do!

I'd say the installation is more important than the window itself, assuming you're comparing like products.

If they don't seal with a quality sealant, and use a good oil based caulk on the exterior, you're more susceptible to long term problems.

I had great luck with Ultra Windows out of Montgomery TX. Not the highest or the lowest, but very good at the actual work.

Check out Apex, I just got 22 triple-pane windows from them.
