I have a big bin of old college textbooks from 2007-2009 that i've been lugging around since college and I don't want them to make my move later this month to the new place.

Where's a good place to take them to here in town?

Waste Management would probably be a better place to take them.

Many local libraries will take them and you can take a tax donation. Just call first to confirm. Mine in DFW won't use them for lending, but they reuse them in community programs or sell to fund other services.

If they're history books just burn them.

The half priced books off Westheimer is buying by appointment only right now and is booked (pun intended) for the next two weeks.... might have to take up the WM offer

Not sure if this place would take them. You may want to email and ask. You print a free shipping label(s) from their website, fill any box you have with "stuff" and schedule a USPS pick up from your home. Very easy. The items are divided up and given to charities who need them. The box is recycled. If you have quite a few boxes you may want to take them to USPS. I have just been putting them out one at time for USPS when I have medium size to large boxes. FYI - I had trouble printing labels the day I visited the site. I emailed them and they sent me 5 labels.
