Pete's Fine Meats does this. They're pretty solid. But it's pricey.

If you're up in the Humble/Kingwood area, check out Kingwood Taco Shop. I've had their breakfast tacos several times and decided to go there for lunch last week. They put out some fresh tamales when I went up to order, so I grabbed a couple and was blown away. They're not pre-made, that's for sure.

Just go to any Houston bar and wait to hear "TAMALES TAMALES TAMALES TAMALES." That syndicate makes some pretty good ones.

Yep. He was the owner of Texas Shrimp Shack that failed on Richmond next to Revelry. He had to start back from square one with this little joint, but his food is amazing. This is were we get our Tamales, and Breakfast tacos when we can.

interesting. Didn't know he came from Shrimp Shack.

This place is great but they don't handle crowds that well. They cook everything to order, which is great, but it's not super quick.
