Pretty sure this board has decided sysco is trash and any restaurant that uses them is trash unfit for our dogs. No self respecting restaurant uses a food service. We only frequent establishments where the head chef personally picks out every single ingredient every day and still has time and energy to sit at our tables and thank us for the privilege of serving us.

I have several friends who work for Sysco (and 3 of them Aggies). Depending on the job, the culture is good. Good benefits, opportunities inside corporate, etc. but for Marketing associates/sales it's tough and margins are thinning.

Good company overall and even Good chefs use them!

Used to work across the street and heard good things about working there. No onsite cafeteria, as they want EEs to support their customers.

It could simply mean that they already have their group of candidates they are going to interview for the position, and your friend is one of them since they already scheduled her for an interview.

FWIW, I have been told the SAP team is not fun to work for if she was going for an IT position.

My wife works there. They installed an on site cafeteria about a year ago. Generally speaking, it's a nice campus. Typical big company, good benefits, etc. Comp is middle of the pack and lagging behind similar sized oil companies. Vacation and FMLA policies are a little outdated but not terrible.

It's like office space, but you deal with food instead of TPS reports.

That changed last year.
