So, my contract is up this month and I was wondering what company the board recommends for power?

I currently have TXU, but I think I'm paying too much because there's only 3 of us in our family - me, wife and 3 year-old and I feel we don't use a lot of electricity.

I hear Centerpoint is legit. Great customer service from what I've gathered!

The size and age of your house matter way more than how many people are living in your house as the AC is the biggest use of power in your home.

Centerpoint because they auto bill pay!

Take a look at 4change. I think their standard deal is <1,000 = $71, <2,000 = $142. We've never gone over 2,000, so cannot state what it does after that.

Regardless of what plan you choose, I think Centerpoint is the "owner" of the lines, meter, etc.

Do the energy ogre rates included Centerpoint delivery fees or is it the 5 cents per kw home everyone else?

It's just electricity, so it's less about any given electricity retailer than finding the plan that best matches your usage profile.
