Headed to Boston concert tonight - 1st time at this venue - any advice?
Parking - heard this is a disaster.
How early to arrive?
Where to park for short walk and to get out quick after?
Uber a good way to go, or do they get stuck in same traffic?
Food and drink inside?

Any advice appreciated!?

I think Uber's and cabs/limos have a different drop off line.

Easiest thing to do might be to park at the mall or in the garages at SL town center, then Uber over.

You'll get hit with rate hikes after no doubt, don't know about before. But you'll probably save money versus parking on site.

They're very proud of their beer, as it is even more expensive there than it is at any of the pro sports venues in town. I think the larger size draft beer was something like $13.

I have more than a feeling that you will need to hitch a ride with Uber and don' look back.

So, is the band playing while recorded vocals are played?

You'll have some peace of mind, for sure.

The Uber like works well.
The shuttle from the town square isn't any cheaper for 2 than parking, but it moves well.

The parking situation really isn't that bad.

The food and drink prices are completely absurd though.

Acoustics are good if you are face on. I hear they suck in the corners. The nosebleeds are REALLY far away. You end up watching the video board the whole time which detracts. From there, It's slightly better than seeing someone at Reliant.

Get a few drinks either at Sugarland TC or River Park across the Brazos and Uber over. They'll drop you off curbside right in front of FC

Park as close to the exits by Lexington and Taborwood. That means you need to park in the lot farthest away from the venue if you don't want to get stuck for 30 minutes. Also means you'll need to exit ahead of the crowd right before the show is over. That's my take, and I have no tolerance for a parking lot mass exodus.

How about plan ahead?

Pack a small ice chest in the car with a few roadies, park wherever you want as close as you want, and then when you leave you can enjoy cold beer while you wait in traffic to exit the lot.

This way you don't miss the end of the show you paid good money to see, don't have to walk a mile to get to the car, and you can enjoy sitting in traffic. Win-Win really

After scoping out the place during the most boring show I've ever attended (Sting), I just can't say anything positive about the place. The seating for 80% of the venue is just bad. Plus the whole feel of the place is more symphony than anything considered "rock." Concessions have been addressed above.

Heat be damned, give me CWMP. At least it is what it is.

1. Beers at Saucer
2. Uber to venue
3. Beers at venue
4. Uber back to Saucer

It's just outside of your front door.

Well, Don't Be Afraid heading to the sterile Smart Center, but furthermore, Don't Look Back to Party cuz the old farts there who haven't been a concert since Boston's first tour certainly won't be Smokin' listening to that Rock & Roll Band. Hopefully, on The Journey there you can have a little Foreplay and she'll love you Long Time, and, God forbid, she won't utter the phrase "A Man I'll Never Be" so that you can leave Feeling Satisfied.

As for me and the Smart Center, I'm kinda Used to Bad News.

(ok, I'm done.)

Very Nice! There are some Boston fans around here.

One question about parking at local restaurants and bars - will they not tow your car if you leave it in the parking lot and Uber over?

Just park in the garage at Town Center

FWIW, I had no issue parking and exiting at Sting and it was sold out. I did, however, leave before the encore.

Does anybody know if you can park at the TI building or even the college that's next to the Financial Center?

Seems to me like it would be a walk, but could get out of there faster.

You can't park at TI

Wasn't bad. We just took Uber to Sugar Land Town Center and had some food/drink, then rode the $5 shuttle to concert. Our plan was to take shuttle back to SLTC and catch Uber there - due to bad reports of long wait in traffic. When we came out there was a line of Uber cars and we just hopped in.

The next morning I got a refund for our Shuttle tickets. Evidently they had a screw up with shuttles and they were not waiting when concert ended and people waited for a long time.

Concert was great. The atmosphere was a little "antiseptic" for a rock show but sound was great etc. We had great seats but i can see how some of the seating could have bad sight lines etc. Food and drink was good but expensive.

Will go again.

No one will have any clue if you don't buy anything at Town Center after parking in the garage.

I only meant this is a last ditch effort to back up your claim you were/are a customer.

If they towed you on the suscpision that you only parked there and went to the concert having a 2.00 coffee receipt would refute it.

I haven't been yet, but I've heard nothing from good things about this place so far. Mostly from olds though.

And your car will still have been towed.

What good does the receipt do?

If you're a customer, you won't have to pay towing charges.
