Untrained eye can't tell difference with moisenite. DeBeers was even fooled without using a microscope to look for their mark.

Wife lost her diamond from loose setting about a year after our wedding. Yes it was insured but it put me on their would not buy again listing.

My wife likes to shop for new settings every few years (swears she's done now) so there have been quite a few jewelers looking at her stone. I'm scared one of them would start talking about how flawless it is all of a sudden and she'd pull out the mapping done on a previous setting swap form.
