has anybody been to this place? it's at the corner of Louetta and Champion Forest.......

I dropped in for lunch today and the food was legit....pretty much just bar eats......with an all-bacon option.....

they have a decent selection of craft beers with quite a few from the Tine.......

curious if anyone has been there in the evening and/or weekends......

My son lived at home for about three months after graduation. That's where they went. Live music and all of those expensive beers you guys like.

Been there several times with friends that live out in the area.

Dive-y little place, but beer selection is pretty solid and a cool little spot. Talk up the bartenders.

Looks like a pretty cool joint.

Honestly, my #2 issue with living in the burbs after the commute is the lack of a decent neighborhood bar. I'm not talking about any sort of weekend hot spot, just a normal, happy hour-friendly, stop by to watch the game with buds, divey sort of joint. Here in my section of the Upper East Side that doesn't exist. There's a couple in old downtown Humble and Kingwood (Molly's Pub) but nothing down here.

Evidently the owners of the Moon Tower Inn are opening a place called White Lightning Saloon that will be worth checking out I believe so we'll see how that goes.

No love for John's Place Pub right down the street? I mean, it's a pub and a place.

Jive bar right across the street has solid beer selection and is very divey.

This is a once a year sort of adventure. Do not plan on talking to anyone with a full set of teeth. Do plan on having a punch bowl full of liquor passed around the bar for everyone to share.

Did I mention it is in a trailer? I actually think it is 2 single wides put together.

last time I went to Bimbo's was during lunch hour......they had loaves of bread, sliced american cheese, and sliced lunchmeat (at room temperature) available to all clientele.......this was the free lunch special......no lie

one added feature of Bimbo's is that the floor near the entry to the men's bathroom has different slopes and angles......coupled with the fact that the lighting in the place is minimal......well, you get the picture

If I have to explain it, it's no fun.

The Farm is good, Austin is the owner nice cat. Yes it's a preamble to a Bimbos nightcap, but the real bartender action is at Brewskis on 249 across from HP. Dimes

Upper West side favorites are Sportin Woodies and the occasional Bimbos trip to make me feel halfway decent about my life decisions. Oh yeah, forgot about Pickles.

Where in Atascocita?

Mojo's has an awesome beer selection, reasonably food and crappy waitresses
Hop Stop in Humble is the best place for beer, no food
Molly's is great

That is the triangle right there with a lot of other places in between.

Summerwood.

I've been to Mojo's and I'm just not a fan. It's basically a one-off TGIChilibee's. And I like Molly's but it's not convenient.

Not sure what to think of this one opening any day, but within walking distance so hope doesn't turn seedy. At one time mentioned an adjoining whisky bar which would be cool.

Quote:

A 30,000-square-foot three-part entertainment venue will open in Fall Creek in late January at 9522 N. Sam Houston Parkway E., Ste. 2400, Humble. The venue features White Lightning Dance Hall, which includes a 2,700-square-foot dance floor and a stage for live music, Southern comfort food and wild-game hot dog restaurant Republic House and Huckleberry's, which is a barbershop.

The business will also feature a cigar lounge and more than 140 different taps of craft beers.

Summerwood is tough. Mojo's is going to be your best and closest place.

The beer selection is great and there are some gems on the food menu. We used to go a ton when we only had one kid. Lots of beer specials and food specials. Plenty of TV's.

I think you should try it out again, maybe sit at the bar on the other side of the entrance.

This White Lightning place looks promising. And it's owned by the guys who own Moon Tower Inn down in the old East End which is just my kind of place, even though the hipster draw is pretty big there.

Austin has opened the Ranch off Jones Rd. Haven't been inside yet.
Kinda out of my way.
Farm is still cool even though Kat is gone.

quality bump of this thread.....

just in case, The Farm's owner opened The Ranch Kitchen + Bar earlier this year....it's at Jones and Grant....similar vibe to The Farm, but much larger and more extra-curricular activities....great place but everytime we've been, it's been slow....need to show them some love....
