Anybody else having toll tag billing issues tied to the Grand Parkway? My wife & I got letters from TxTag for both of our cars last week listing the supposed violations. The letters say that they couldn't read our tags. Yet for 90% of the other times on the GP, they had no issue reading them. In fact, on the same drive I can see the tags getting read at other toll plazas. There were no issues reading them on HCTRA roads either. Our credit cards on file are getting billed, so we know that they're working.
Just curious is anyone else is running into the same things as us.

I run the GP every day to and from work. Primarily from Harlem Rd north to the Westpark. Never had any issues.

Our supposed violations have all taken place on the new sections (290 to 45).

A couple of months ago I received a letter from TxTag saying my tag wasn't read on the GP (I believe at Champions Forest). I had to ask HCTRA to dispute the claim with TxTag. TxTag wound up waiving the penalty fee although they said they would do it as a "one time courtesy". I haven't had any issues since then.

I just pulled my account up and my trip Sunday (5/29) trip from Katy to the Woodlands and back home only shows one of the charges.

Had the problem where I was charged while it was still free and said I didn't have a tag!!

Yes, happened to my wife's car.

My wife's car has issues. She doesn't have a front plate and her windshield is pretty thick so they asked her to put some kind of toll tag bar code on her front bumper. Or they would have to look at a picture to manually bill her everytime she went through a booth. She said keep looking at her pictures....

Just got a letter from TxTag for this issue. Got violations on two different days just at the 99 & Riley Fuzzel toll. It's worked fine everywhere else.

Switch to a HCTRA tag and be done with it.

It is a HCTRA tag.

Why would you get a letter from TxTag if you have a HCTRA tag?

I got a violation because it read the O in my license plate as a zero. The remedy was including the O as both an O and a zero on my account.

I think that TxTag owns the tag readers on the Grand Parkway. They then bill HCTRA.

I can even explain in an hour the nightmares I've had dealing with these total morons!! Total idiots

Texas doesn't use the letter O on license plates. Only 0's.

Personalized plates can have O's, and I know of a few in Gleannloch that are dealing with this very issue.

yes! my husband just got a second bill in the mail for it. we frequent the GP at the back of gleannloch too so I wonder if that's it

Don't know what date, if that's what you're asking, but you can play with available personalized plates on myplates.com to see what is available for purchase.

Here's one that is available and allowable: HO0O0P; the O's are just a bit wider than the zeros.

It's not just the O, since 2012, Texas also does not use the other four vowels and the letter Q.

But all 5 and the Q are obviously available for vanity plates.

I checked my toll transactions with hctra and they worked just fine at the same toll plazas on the same day as the ones that apparently failed. I'll call these jerks tomorrow.

We've been having hell with our haul trucks and person vehicles. Sounds like the exact same situation. I'll ask the person in charge how we are resolving it.

This is one of those situations I dread dealing with. The thought of dealing with a moron over the phone because the company said moron works for can't get their sh t straight makes my blood boil.

Don't pay anything !
If you do you may never get it back even when they find out they are wrong.

I called TxTag finally. They waved the violations and I was able to pay the $1.95 in tolls. The guy was very nice and it took all of 5 minutes. He just said to call or login to HCTRA and make sure there are no violations on their end and it should be settled.

Yep, I have a personalized plate with O in it and I live in Gleannloch. It's a Duck's Unlimited Wetlands Conservation Plate.
