I've got a couple of 20 year old Live Oaks that need some significant pruning, including removal of a couple of big low hanging limbs. Main tress for our front yard so I want to make sure that I use someone who knows what they are doing.

Anyone have a good recommendation for this area? Certainly would prefer to use an Aggie if possible but am looking for any past experience/suggestions.

Ability Trees is the one company that I will refuse to do any business with.

We called them out a few years back for a quote and were extremely disappointed. First, they charged us just to provide an estimate. Second, their pricing was about triple that of other quotes we received. Third, the rep refused to provide us a quote just to trim those two trees but insisted on providing a quote that also included trimming of several smaller trees and crepe myrtles. And fourth, the guy was very condescending to my wife.

I know I submitted a request for someone to come out through Ability's website... black hole. Never heard back. Left VM, no response.

Also interested in hearing about someone else on the SE Side.

Not sure if friendswood firewood does pruning or if they just cut it at the bottom. May be worth reaching out to them.
