Help me Tine board. What is the quickest route to get from 290 eastbound to Spring, Tx? Should I take 290 all the way to Beltway 8 and come back up 249? Is it worth coming in on Waller-Tomball Rd which turns into 2920? Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I'm trying to get to the neighborhood near 2920 and TC Jester. TIA!

I live pretty close to the intersection you are going to and I always take 2920 from Waller the entire way. Watch out in old Tomball the speed limit is 30-35 mph

Spring-Cypress Rd, everything you need to know about it is in the name...

If you're coming from further out than Waller, then 2920 is probably roughly the same, time wise depending on what time we're talking.

I used google maps, but I know how a lot of those roads in that area can have a large amount of traffic lights. I'm trying to find the quickest way, and the google isn't always great at quantifying that.

Actually it is. They measure how fast phones that allow location services are moving along roads in real time so roads with any reasonable number of traffic they have good current and historical data for.

It's mid-2016, so Grand Parkway is the best route.

they have real time traffic data, so it usually is.

Google maps is very accurate for real time. But not very helpful to plan ahead and figure out what traffic will be in the future.

account for 45 minutes to an hour of travel time, and then follow google on the fly.

This just hit Spring Cypress and come on over. The light at 249 and again at Stuebner Airline will suck in rush hour but then you turn left and you are in Windrose.

Also despite the lights this is the best route. Beltway 8 you will have a slow down at 249. Then you have to get over to TC Jester, you can take Louetta, 1960, Spring Cypress or 2920, all have issues but Spring Cypress is the clear choice in my opinion.

telge to Huffmeister to Kluge to grant to cypresswood to tc jester. as someone who drives this route regularly because I live in Spring and my parents live in Cypress, I will tell you thid secret. It is usually slightly faster than Spring Cypress if there is any substantial traffic.

I live in spring and work in cypress. I take spring cypress back and forth every day. Like some else said, the 249 and stuebner-airline intersections can suck at times, but aside from that you're usually going 50 mph the whole way.
