Short story: 2 young geologists posed as babysitters and then would molest kids at their Memorial Dr. apartment.

These two look like your everyday run of the mill O&G workers. It's these types of stories that have me rethinking the need to nanny cam the entire house.

I read the probable cause statement on this one -- and I have to tell you it it absolutely disgusting. Some people in our newsroom refused to read it because it is just so horrifying.

Sickening story, very hard to read. And if this woman wasn't so stupid, it would still be going on. Every time I read a story like this it makes me think about it happening elsewhere and even worse things than this. Then a worse thing comes out. I'd rather not read the news so I don't have to think about it.

I have a couple friends who have worked special crimes cases and when they sound mentally exhausted at the end of the day, you don't want to ask them what's wrong. It's probably for the best that a lot of the details never make the news. Some things just cannot be processed rationally.

Heartbreaking to ponder the number that are never caught.

At what point in your dating stage do you bring that up? It just seems crazy that they could possibly find each other unless they met through anonymous means online. But even then it would seem like LEO could infiltrate any such groups online that were actually looking to meet each other.

Unfortunately I know her. This is absolutely sickening, shocking.. Literally have had a range of emotions, never felt sick, sad, mad confused at once before. Absolutely terrible people right under our noses. These poor children and their families. Absolutely sickened and I'm afraid it is probably way worse than what they can/would put in the press, even what has been published so far has made me almost pass out or throw up.

I can't remember how she met him, but thats a good assumption. But everything else you put about her education is correct. She's origininally from the Asheville NC area but been in Houston for a while. I am/was facebook friends w/ her and facebook wiped her page this afternoon, but it was still active until then, now you get an error message. Seriously what a monster, we are all shocked.

Yes, I strongly recommend that people get drop cams installed. They are VERY inexpensive IMO. For $200, you can get a quality drop cam that allows 2 way communication and live video feed.

Heard about this this morning at my Crossfit gym, ironically there was a Chevron geologist in the group that knew this girl well. They were friends and apparently this comes as a complete shock.

In all honesty I am hoping they both take their own lives, and do it quickly. This coming from the father of a 2 month old. There's just something evil in them that can't be rehabilitated through the prison system. Sure, general population in prison would be sufficient torture, but people like this really shouldn't go on living. I'd like to think they have the awareness to know they are sick and need to remove themselves from the earth.

Plus, I don't want to pay for their incarceration.
