It takes alot to make one long for ticketmaster, but wow this ticketing system they are using for the Rodeo is such a POS, it times out every time. This is a sorry way to treat your volunteers and season ticket holders HLSR. I've spent most of today trying to get extra tickets with zero success.

I didn't have any problems. Logged in at 9AM to get in the virtual waiting room.. 10am tickets went on sale and by 10:15 I had any extra tickets to the shows I wanted. Ticketmaster is much more user friendly. Only think I did find annoying was having to buy each performers in a different transaction. All you had to do was open up a few browsers at once though.

I have a hard time feeling sympathetic for anyone not able to get Luke Bryan tickets.

Fat Conroe redneck can't buy crappy tickets for spoiled redneck daughter

quote:
Ensminger said by the time she re-entered the online virtual waiting room, the Luke Bryan tickets were sold out. The tickets would have been a present for her 16-year-old daughter.

"Her face got gloomier and gloomier, and she said, 'did you get the tickets or not,' and I said no. We did not get the tickets," Ensminger said, "And she just turned around and walked away."

I think the issue starts with the Rodeo officials. They make it seem like the general public can just log in and buy tickets when they go on sale. Most of the public trying to buy these tickets do not realize that majority of the stadium is sold out to season tickets. Also that all the pre sale events on top of that. Come Saturday morning, the popular shows are sold out or have few tickets at top of stadium remaining.

I mean this is for every concert, sporting event etc... but the Rodeo creates such a big buzz about announcing the performers and getting people excited about buying tickets.

I'm with springagg. They went on all the news outlets and proclaimed how much they want everyone a chance to go to the rodeo and how they are trying so hard to make it affordable and available, but in reality, only the season ticket holders can buy seats that aren't in the nosebleed sections, and those are the ones being sold for many times the price on stubhub.

If they really wanted to cut down on scalping like they say, they would look at their season ticket holder policies, not make it harder for the general public.

Its not just the rodeo... it is the same for every popular event. The rodeo just makes it seem like there are so many shows and tickets on sale. Texans are sold out and a normal person cannot just buy tickets to a game. Majority of the stadium is season tickets. Rockets same thing. Just about every popular concert sells out in minutes. The ticket brokers end up with all the tickets and mark up prices. These ticket brokers in my opinion provide zero value.
