Girlfriends Bday is this weekend, so her rents are coming down and bringing either jet skis or wake boat. Figure we go to lake Conroe, but not too familiar with best places to launch other than couple spots right off 105.

Usually I go with buddies, boat, then just chill at the island.

Curious if Conroe has any public parks with boat launch we could keep as base of operations, or if we should just plan on doing one of the ramps off 105 and grub at that big restaurant/bar on the water after.

Any recs appreciated and no rule #1, sorry fellas.

The old banana Bay area is the only Park I know of...... And it's a mini Mexico City

I'd launch at April plaza or the marina sorta behind mcdonalds; inland marina?

You can go to papas, fajata jacks SAMs boat etc; all have slip access for a quick lunch.

Depend on what part of the lake you want to play on. I usually launched from the 105 ramps in not fishing.

Dead end of FM830 is also pretty much the ONLY free public boat ramp on the lake. I use it all the time.

There is Lakeview Marina and April Plaza off of 105, and if you go way up to FM1097, there's Scotts Ridge ramp in the national forest park. There's of course several more, but I don't use any of those.

Scott's ridge is probably the best wakeboarding cove on the lake. Isolated, big area to do large circles in that is protected from the wind and stays relatively calm, and is stump free. Just launch and go to the left/west.

It is a good 20 minute haul frmo there to the south end of the lake where Papas/Wolfies etc is.

Scotts Ridge is where my grandfather and I launched from when fishing that part of the lake. The ramp has come a long way from what it used to be 15 years ago.
