At which Shipley locations can one find these apocryphal delicacies of pulled pork &/or boudin kolaches?

And nobody says anything?

They are pig in the blankets, not kolaches. I reserve the term kolache for open-faced pastries with cheese or fruit.

cclearman - is that the cclearman who works in Stafford, TX?

Somebody always has to chime in with kolache snobbery on kolache threads.

In our region, it's an effing kolache. Plain and simple.

Even the vast majority of people I know of Czech ancestry don't get all torqued off over the improper use of the kolache vs. klobasnek.

It is what it is. I mean, everybody damn well knows that not all sodas in Texas are actually Coke but how often does it generically get called a "coke."

And which freaking Shipley locations have these delicacies? None of the one's I've been to have them.

The one at fry and clay does. Or did anyway. I had one there in the fall at some point.

Surprised it took that long for the kolache "purist" to chime in

I like them. Go to the one on Mason just south of Kingsland in Katy after church...I actually prefer them over the normal sausage.

Shipleys is trash.

And Prasek's in El Campo labels such items as "klobasnicks", so there you go.

Your suggestion is feasible. We will all go to El Campo got colaches <- best spelling ever.

Bucees calls them kolaches and sells a sheet ton of them so there's that.

And for you kolache purists I hope you're equally offended and don't ever order fajitas at Pappasitos or El Tiempo. Because that's not really fajita meat they're serving.

Oh and the Shipley on Gessner north of Long Point has the pulled pork ones along with the one at Gessner and Westheimer. The pulled pork is solid and they'd be DAMN good if they doubled the meat.

The best Shipley kolache for me though is the boudin kolache on North Main.

And for sausage kolaches I think the Valeros that make them in store actually have really good ones if you get them fairly fresh from their oven. It's actually kilbesa style sausage and not hot dog style sausage.

Went to the Shipleys on Gessner north of 10 this morning and they don't have the pulled pork KOLACHES anymore. They used to.

Did they pull the pulled pork KOLACHES at other places???

If someone at our store asked for a klobasnek, I don't think I'd sell him one. Next in line, please.
