Anyone know any reputable dirt yards in Houston (preferably South Houston) ? I need about 8-10 yards worth of fill dirt or topsoil delivered. Cheapest Ive found is $26 per yard and $35 for delivery.

I think the one on the NW corner of the BW @ 288 is Wayne's. I have never used them, but they also have a dirt yard at IH 45 @ Dixie Farm.

The one on the west side of 288 SB collector before you get to the BW is Higgins. I got grass from them years ago but never any dirt.

There is a living earth technologies on the south belt EB east of cullen. I think they have better organic qaulity soil and mulches that I hear advertised on Garden Line.

Falcon Imports is off of Dixie Farm Rd and 45 (a little further down from Wayne's location). I can try and get you a deal from them if you are interested.

How good a deal for a truckload of topsoil? Most dump trucks hold 12 yards right?

Their trucks max out at 8. He is actually close to the price you had. They are $25/yard and do free delivery within an 8 mile radius.
