My fiancé and I have recently started the planning process for our wedding and she wants to have a live band. I've been to several Houston weddings but all had DJ's. does anyone have any recommendations? TIA

A couple of bands that used to play at the old Gallant Knight play weddings and are both great:
Klockwork and The Collaboration Band

I second Klockwork. I couldn't afford them but my friend had them and they were GREAT. Used to play at the Gallant Knight (RIP).
The Spiffington's. Great band. We just used them about 6 or 7 weeks ago, and were awesome. Can play just about anything and were great to work with.
Nervous Rex is fantastic!
Also there's another great band that I can't think of the name of right now... Will post it later if I think of it.

Rotel and the Hot Tomatoes was probably the most fun wedding band i've ever seen
I've never been to a wedding with a live band. I feel like I'm missing out.
What is your budget?
If your budget is big enough, you should skip the traditional wedding bands and hire 80s supergroup Toto.

I don't know if they play weddings or not, but Texas Unlimited Band aka TUB is great.
Micky hobbs is playing my wedding in a few months.
We hired a band called "Doppleganger". Supposedly they are pretty good but I havent looked into it at all, just taking the boss' word. I do know that they are pretty freaking expensive, so they better be good.
Thanks for the recommendations. We are still working on the budget and trying to figure out how much it will all cost. Doppelgänger is one that she found as well looking around yesterday.
