That isn't Chick Fil A, etc... OR the Aquarium.

We were going to go to Lupe on 59, but they said they have covered up their play area.

Meeting at 5pm tonight.

Why not just find a babysitter and spare all of the restaurant patrons the annoyance of children running wild?

Friends in town from out of state. They're staying in the Galleria area. We're coming from Katy and another family coming from Friendswood.

Thanks for the sound advice though!

Now might be the time to teach your kids to sit at the table and behave.

Take a picnic to Hermann Park? Dave and Busters on Richmond at Fountainview? Niko Nikos on the downtown market square park? Is The Lake House at Discovery Green open yet? Natachees in mid town? It has a sandbox.

This is probably what you are not looking for. The Galleria mall has a childrens play area next to Kona Grill. There is a also a sushi place.

For the record, they behave very well in restaurants. There will be 6 kids between 1yr - 5yr so play areas can be a nice escape for a bit.

Thanks Yakman, we're going to try Natachee's.

Keep on Keepin' on, Houston board.

Not Galleria area, more mid town, but not too far to travel.

Natachee's has an outdoor sandbox and good food. Definitely kid friendly.

7nine, not anymore. They have apparently covered it up.

They said only Hwy 6 and Katy locations have them now.

Why didn't you say so earlier?

Don't feed the trolls. They are your kids. If the holier than thou patrons that aren't suited to be parents can't handle it, guess where they can go?

To another restaurant...or to hell, whatevs.

How about the people who aren't suited to be parents who bring their spawns to restaurants to disrupt others?

I second Natachees for kiddos. This place has a great kid area, the food is fantastic and they have great adult beverages.

Whatever happened to the days of taking your kids to the local dive bar, handing them $5 in quarters for pool, and downing dollar long necks?

Lupe HWY 6 hasn't had a sand box for 6-8 months now, wanted to make more room for tables....

59 Lupe's did away with the sand box as they were tired of being the spot in the area 30 somethings to take all the patio tables for hours to sip 'ritas and eat chips while the kids played in the sand box until the working spouse joined them just before 7pm and they ordered 2 adult entrees and 2 kid meals. The patio tables were frequently occupied for 3 hours to sell 2 adult entrees, 2 kid meals, and 5-6 'ritas.

Good to know that Lupe's is a viable option once again.
