Anyone work out at the city centre or cinco ranch locations?
What do you pay a month.. and is the high cost of city centre worth it?

My wife likes it - I think it's something like $100 a month and she has a trainer who costs a bit more. I don't know exactly how much though. Outside pool is small but nice. Gym is huge, 3 floors... parking is always available.

Cinco is full of kids, I've never enjoyed going there. Plus it is a ways off from my house.

I'm at City Center. I showed them my Student ID when signing up 2 years ago and I got the discounted rate so it's $80/month. They're trying to raise rates though now that it's a diamond club. I don't know the new prices.

Member at Cinco location. Family membership and I think we pay $121 after tax. There are cheaper options, but wife loves it, so I think it's worth it.

Gold family membership is costing me $116/month.

$100 a month-- NO WAY

We are also at the Cinco location and enjoy it.

When I called cinco they told me $83 for one and $130 for a couple.
And City Centre told me $129 for me or $210 for a couple....

I was paying 80 a month, but I canceled. It's def the nicest place. To get your money worth, need to go 4-5 times a week.

The product discounts they try to sell you on are pretty meager though.


24 hour I'm locked in at $50 and it's not bad. Not near Lifetimes level though.

It's worth it. clean, no poors, never crowded

We go to memorial athletic club on memorial at dairy Ashford and we only pay about $62/mth for both of us. What do you get at lifetime that is worth double that?

Get the same at MAC. Plus no meat market atmosphere and very few meatheads.

If you want an aggie on the inside, im the department head for personal training at city centre

We use the Cinco Lifetime. $108/month for both of us.

If you can't get there at 5AM before work, you're screwed. In the evenings you can't get anything done. They have 3 squat racks and 4 benches, all taken from 430PM until 8PM. I almost dropped my membership when they sent out a membership drive flyer in my neighborhood.

Other than not being able to work out in the afternoon/evening, it's nice.

joker, can you tell me what a memebership would cost for individual/family? seems like City Centre comments are all over the map. Live close and current go to Bally's on I10 but expires in March.

Individual after taxes I believe is close to 140 / month.....bit don't quote me on that cause prices changed not too long ago and I don't typically see them.....

If you want to talk to someone at city centre, Thomas Greene is a membership salesman, and he's also an Aggie (class of 2010 I believe). I worked with him for my last semester at A&M at the rec center.....hes a real cool guy and won't give you any BS or throw any sales crap at you

Were getting tvs installed on a lot of the cardio equipment in the next few weeks, as well as getting the locker rooms worked on regarding replacing a lot of the tile in the shower area and sauna in the men and women's locker rooms

complete rip. goto la fitness or do the costco 24 hour membership.

I would do a 24 hour or LA Fitness.. but I need a gym that is open 24hours, one that I feel safe at in the evenings, and one that is clean... I think lifetime is my only option

You get what you pay for, I think the CityCentre location is awesome. It is pricey though, mines $100/month too.

I've always paide between $30 and $45 for gym memberships and been happy with what I got. What would make any location worth $100? This is an actual question, I'm not trying to be a jerk.

I pay $29/yr for 24 hr fitness (all clubs) for the rest of my life.

$78/Mo at cinco ranch for the wife and kids membership.

I think she went a few times last year...blargh.

Wife and I are set up with 24hour. We go to the kirby location in west U because it's the only location that isn't disgusting. with all the odd-ball members we've talked about other options several times. I have trouble believing lifetime is much better so I haven't visited the closest one (weslayan). Any comments? We might buy a bunch of equipment and scrap the memberships if we can't find a cleaner place than these meathead hangouts.

I am a member at Lifetime Sugar Land. $61/mth. $99/mth if/when my wife wants to start now that the baby is getting older.

Does anybody have a contact to the northwest lifetime off of 249?

We did the same thing 3+ years ago and don't regret it at all. Yes, Lifetime is 1st class, but I don't need a 5-star gym to get a good work out. That and the swim class we attend at the Y does not exist at Lifetime.
