What a tough life...

I don't want to even try and complain about the ranking of those. Partly because how do you compare Oxheart and Tony's when they are obviously tryingto do two very different things with very different experiences. And Partly because I've only eaten at about a third of those restaurants and only heard of about half.

Couple of surprises on there. Glad to see Huynh ranked so high. Happy to see Oxheart #1. It's not my cup of tea, but he's worked really hard to make it what it is and true to his vision. And too bad about Dolce Vita...

As an alternative for Dolce Vita until they get up and running again, I highly reccomend Divino across from the Chocolate Bar on Alabama. Real good stuff.

Rainbow Lodge at 96? **** outta here with that.

seriously, you could just sit down and list 100 restaurants in no particular order and it would be no more or less contraversial than this broads "professional" list.

Week showing. 5 years in Houston and only 16 appearances.

Surprising that I haven't even heard of probably half of those.

Im not sure God himself could create a top 100 list of Houston restaurants that this board wouldnt completely tear apart. Theres some questionable stuff there, but also a lot of restaurants I have never been to that I will now be checking out!

Price aside, the two meals I have had were pretty freaking bad. Like something they would serve en masse at a large company meeting at a hotel or something. Factor in the price, and it's laughable. Maybe I just have really bad luck, but crazy to me that it is #3.

When a hamburger makes the top 10 best in Houston all credability is lost.

Crazy that other Thai restaurants are listed and Thai Gourmet was left off.

I wouldn't have a problem with it if she was judging them kind of like how you judge a dog show. You judge it against its type and what it is trying/supposed to do and then see how it compares to the rest of them judged on their own scales.

So while Hubcap obviously isn't a better restaurant than most fine dining places in Houston, it is better at being a great gourmet burger joint than a lot of the fine dining places are at being fine dining places.

Now I don't know if that's what her intent was. Maybe she's just an idiot.

No way she has been to Haven. If she had been, she would know that the place is absolute crap. She is just giving a nod to her earth worshipping hippie buddies on some of these.
