Any thoughts on the Tanglewilde neighborhood? It's at the SE corner of Westheimer/Gessner. My wife and I put a low-ball offer on a home in Tanglewilde last night, but aren't extremely familiar with the area. Seemed like a lot of young families and older couples by driving through. Richmond (to the south) looked shady, but everything to the north looked pretty nice.

I live off of Tanglewilde south of Richmond and north of Westpark for almost two years now and haven't had issues, I would think the area north of Richmond won't have problems.

We have lived here for about 4 years. Like the area. I've met some great friends and have a few drinking buddies.

I am getting tired of having a house built in the 60s though. That's my only complaint about the area.

I own a condo in the Oaks. I really like the area. It has changed a whole lot in recent years, but it's still not a bad spot. Plenty of good restaurants close by and Nicks Place is still going strong. The section between Richmond and Westheimer put up some cameras on the street and someone said it has really helped with a rash of crime they were seeing. The big apartment complex just behind the Walgreens that spreads between Ella Lee and Tanglewilde has really become bad. I'm not sure the area will fully recover while that low rent POS is still operating.
