First of all, I do not know these people, but heard about their story. My wife and I don't have kids yet, and have a 2 year old boxer, so this story hits pretty close to home. There are no words to describe what I'd do to these thieves.

Cliff Notes - young couple was broken into broad day light this past Saturday. Thieves ransacked the place, and even stole the couple's dog, Charlie, a 3 year old boxer.

Read that story yesterday and instantly got pissed. I hope my neighbors would at least call 911 if they saw someone other than me or my wife loading our dogs and tv into their car!

This seems to be a trend- break into someone's house and take their dog as well. I know I've seen more than one story in the last year where this happened.

It's hard for me to believe that a thief would take the added risk during a burlgary to steal a giant dog that bites and barks loudly. Forcing a big dog into a vehicle without drawing attention to yourself is almost impossible.

They didn't steal the dog. They either killed it and the body just hasn't been found, or they more likely let it out prior to (or during) the robbery.

This is f***ing bull****. Somebody please find these criminals and execute them.

As for the dog...I want to find him and return. Don't care about the reward.

I agree with OP. I e-mailed the story to my wife this morning. Charlie looks very similar to my boxer and if this happened to us, I would lose it. I did read or hear on the news that a neighbor saw someone loading the dog into a car, so I think they are pretty sure that he was taken and was not just let loose or killed on the spot.

Yeah this pissed me the **** off when I saw it on the news. ****Ing piece of **** cholo probably wanted to give Charlie to his fat ass piece of **** Mexican burrito maker.

The wife called in to the radio this morning. Apparently their neighbor witnessed the whole thing and didn't think anything of it. She didn't want to be the nosy neighbor in everyone's business so she just ignored it.

Apparently the guys were very nonchalant in loading up the car and the last thing they loaded into the car was the dog, who appeared willing to go along for a car ride.

Hopefully they get their dog back at the very least.

Ditto. I actually cried when I saw the story on the news.

I think they may have taken the dog with the intent to sell him. Hopefully, when they find out they won't be able to get much money without AKC papers, they will give him away and he will make it back to the owners.

looks like my boxer when he was young. mine is a rescue who was used as a bait dog in a ring before being rescued. took a lot of love and care to bring back his spirit that makes a boxer the dog they are. i hope that's not why they stole this one.

when we got robbed last year the first thing i checked for (after making sure they were gone) was the pets. i was terrified how i was going to tell my wife her beloved dog that predates me was now gone or dead.

This would be my fear with our dogs (pugs). They love everyone and would have no problem getting in someone else's car I'm afraid.

It's sickening to think about what happens to stolen dogs.
