It's really expensive to maintain all those Super Bowl trophies. That's where all the money went. That, and BMWs for everybody.

Does anybody else have a problem with Washington, DC being so high?

Those are our tax dollard funding a very high level of income for a lot of useless bureaucrats.

Des Moines: Few ethnic poors. White bread as hell, lots of subdizied cracker farmers.

I can see the wealthy lilly white NE cities being on the list, along with spread the money around D.C., and NY and San Fran.

Houston has oil, port, regional ag.

Best part is Houston also has a SUPER low cost of living compared to alot of the other rich cities, so our dollar goes farther.

I'm willing to bet the ridiculous numbers of attorneys and lobbyists has a lot to do with it as well.

At least here we do something generally useful.

Indeed this is true, however as a veteran of the DC game (albeit ~9 years removed) I can tell you the attorneys & lobbyists would not be there and their numbers would decrease astronomically if you could cut the burueacracy down to size.

I can totally see the correlation there.
