there is a place downtown - Houston Tamale Factory I think - they were pretty good when i had them at the Heights location but they closed the heights location a while ago.

Houston Tamale Factory is awesome....they are downtown and the owner is a real quality guy...takes a lot of pride in his food. The carne guisada is killer
