I actually was going to play on the better of the two Houston Teams; however, the games and practices were getting in the way of Aggie Football, Work, and other commitments. Having played in several different football leagues in town, the talent level in the Gay League is quite impressive. Some of you might actually be shocked by the athletic talent of the guys out there. I think the team I was on was perhaps the most competitive flag football team I have played on in any Houston League or played against in any Houston League.

Plus, the league allows bumping receivers within five yards of the line and contact blocking in the backfield, which is much more fun than the non-contact flag football leagues.

And yes there are a few guys that probably go a little overboard.....

It is a long story and can't say I totally agree with all the guidelines - especially those that limit the number of hetero players that can participate on a team. This is part of the reason that I stopped playing for now.

The gay leagues (softball, football, etc) were mainly formed to provide those gay individuals a "safe-haven" to participate in athletic competitions without being ridiculed by other members of the leagues. This sounds stupid in today's time; however, I have witnessed first hand derogatory comments being made by officials and other teams when our gay team has competed in some of the citywide leagues. It is one thing to joke about it when out on the field; however, it is another thing to verbally abuse others based on orientation. We all know the difference between hatred comments and jokingly comments.

I saw several of them deep-throating bananas to ward off cramping, it also got awkward during the 17 count hard count under center

this furthers my way of thinking that you can't get gay dudes together and expect them to act platonically. They pretty much always act like its a ****ing PRIDE parade.
