I was going to take the kids to the Beach but the surf report said riptides in Freeport so the wife scuttled that plan.
Got a 20% off coupon to Splashway from a friend and said, "why not check it out."
On the plus side, it's less than an hour from my house, plenty of rides and stuff for young kids (under the age of 10), my 3 year old was tall enough to ride everything except one slide, there were no lines whatsoever, plus it's reasonably cheap at $17 each after discount and you can bring in your own food and drinks.
On the Minus side the place is very small, so the oldest got somewhat bored riding the same rides over and over....but no big deal since he complains about not getting to play at his friends house no matter where we go. The two younger ones had a ball (3 and 7).
So I give this place an enthusiastic thumbs up if you have young kids...and a thumbs down if your kids are older than 10 - 11...if I had known better I would have had my son bring a friend to keep his whining to a minimum.
