Currently in Gleannloch and tired of ATT charging me the same cost for 7MB DSL when I could be getting 22MB Entouch Cable internet for near the same cost.... however I do not want to switch if the service is horrid.

Anyone have experience with Entouch internet service(in Gleannloch specifically would be great)?

i'm in the market too for my slinbox. preferably something with a 1MB upload speed too

I have entouch in Katy, and it is alright.

I have it in cypress. I like it just fine, no issues. Plus they just reduced my rates yesterday. So that is good.

I'd bet the real download rates are similar between ATT DSL and Entouch, just my guess. Suppose you could have some of these guys test their rates online and post!

I had it a few years ago in my old neighborhood. It was pretty cheap, but the stability/performance of the internet was pretty poor in comparison to Comcast. Seemed to slow down a lot during prime usage hours and had quite a few outages. But again this was years ago, maybe its better now.

Currently use EnTouch. Not great, not terrible. Customer service is quick and friendly, but it does bog down at peak hours, to the point where streaming netflix has to rebuffer mid movie sometimes. Wouldn't give it a strong recommendation.

Call AT&T and tell them the price that Entouch is offering and that you would like to cancel (or go with entouch) but wanted to give AT&T the opportunity to retain your business. I got bumped up an internet tier, money off per month, movie channels, and HBO/Cinemax. Just ask

Also, make sure you talk to the "Retentions" department as they will be able to offer you the most.

My parents used to have entouch. Whenever we would try to watch HD channels on two different televisions the whole system would lock up. The techs could never fix it so they wound up with comcast.

I did this yesterday.

We dumped them because of the HD issues. We'd get stadium noise, but no announcers on the HD sports channels. They replaced our box. New box randomly shut itself off. They replaced it - then we'd only get some hd channels. They never could get it right and after about 3 weeks (because each issue is a new scheduled visit) we got rid of them and got UVerse.

Just call and ask for retentions. Don't even speak to the first person who finally answers the phone. Just say "retensions" over and over until they connect you.

Which brings up another point; WTF do I have to enter my account number, name, address, etc. to the recording voice to get a rep. then DO THE SAME DAMNED THING FOR THE REP,,,,and if tech or someone else gets involved, do it all over again.

Have entouch Internet in sugar land. No issues and decent service.
