For those of you that remember when the Smack Off was pretty damn good and funny, 1560 got some of the best old school Smack Talkers, mixed in some Adam Clanton doing Rome on a Mobile and voila. A not so subtle poke at Rome. It was pretty damn funny...and eerie how much Adam sounds like Jim.

yeah in the "Directors Cut" version- Travis mentioned that he listened to Jim talk almost everyday for 15 years and if he closes his eyes-he cant tell the difference between Adam and real Jim.

Adam used to roll the full Jungle intro 10 minutes to 11AM on 610. First time I heard it, he got me. I thought to myself, "Why is Rome coming on early?!?" Guy's good.

For all the 1560 bashing I've done lately, that was the best hour of radio I've heard in a loooong time. Clanton is great.

Wow, I've only listened to Rome in bits and pieces the last year or so. Didn't realize he had gone full-blown QMorning Zoo with the whacky sound fx.

Adam Clanton is on 790, but I can't figure out why they don't use him more. His Walton on a mobile is great.

The YouTube video was hilarious. The fake SmackOff was funny was well but damn he nailed it in the YouTube video.

So was Rodgers fired from Rome? I did a Google search and it sounds like it but couldn't quite tell.

Chewy - yes, Rome fired Rodgers about a couple of years ago.

The way Rodgers tells it, Rome just decided one day that he wanted a different perspective and direction of the show and came in one day told Rodgers to pack his bags.

Thanks Ezra. I knew he had "moved on" and assumed he was fired but had never heard Rodgers comment on what happened.

Didn't think a SoCal guy would leave Rome's show and move to Houston to a start up radio station.

I still wish they'd pair Sean and Travis as that could be some great radio. I haven't listened since the lineup change but just checked out the lineup change and it looks like John Harris isn't part of the daily lineup anymore.

Did he move on I'm guessing?
