richmond/sugar land covers a pretty large area.

I like the little sandwich shop in downtown Richmond, Sandy McGee's. also near there is a little coffee/sandwich shop called the Depot or something, right along 90.

Larry's Mexican is also out there. really cheap tex-mex.

Where on Richmond?

My office opened up last week at Richmond and Wilcrest.

The Richmond Coffee Station is no longer open.

Swing Door (FM 359) or S Texas BBQ (Hwy 36 in Rosenberg)
Sandy's in downtown Richmond
Larry's Original on 90A on the Houston side of the river for enchiladas
Bob's Tacos in downtown Rosenberg for, well, tacos
Donna's in downtown Rosenberg for soul/home cooking
Pier 36 on 90A outside of Richmond for seafood

Some good places in the smaller towns, too.
Sugarland has a Chili's and an IHOP. That's about it.

La Casona is my favorite Mexican food.

However, there is a Gringos on 59 and 2218.
Swinging Door isn't nearly what it used to be.
Larry's is good if you don't mind dodging the flying cockroaches.

And that's how good Larry's is. I don't mind.
Admittedly, it's not as authentic as Gringos on the freeway.

+1 for La Casona.

And it's cheap also.

Agree on La Casona here as well.
A few others in R'berg:
Rita's Mexican food on hwy 90 (Ave H)
Bob's Tacos
Hunan Garden for chinese on Ave H. Been there 25+ years.
2-M's drive inn for old fashioned burgers.
Western Steakhouse on Ave I

Quite a few places in Sugarland Town Square as well:
Japaneiros (Sushi / Latin)
Fish City Grill
Grimaldi's Pizza
Perry's Steakhouse
Cafe Express
Escalante's

I'm assuming RoseRichAg is being sarcastic about Gringo's being "authentic".

Sugar Land has quite a bit more than IHOP and Chili's, again, I hope RRAg was being sarcastic.

in addition to those mentioned just above, in the Hwy 59/Hwy 6 intersection area in Sugar Land there is a PF Chang's, a Black Walnut Cafe, Vineyard on the Square, Pete & Shorty's, Carrabba's, Lupe Tortilla's, Rajun Cajun, Beck's Prime, Azuma, Post Oak Grill, Whole Foods, 5 guys, Smashburger, Mission Burrito and various Indian food places.

DUDE,

- 2-M's is the sh*t. I am waiting to Guy Fieri to do a Diners, Drive-In's and Dive's at 2-M'S!
- Western Steakhouse used to be realyl good but has gone downhill big time. The All-You-Can Eat Sirloin Steak Night was EPIC.
- Hunan Garden is awesome and cheap chinese.

Anytime I am back in Rosenberg, I have to hit up the taco salad at Schultz.

Yes, double sarcasm. Or bi-sarcasm as Charlie Sheen would say. ChiEp is right about the area around Sugarland's fake downtown. There are a lot of good restaurants to try, and it's a nice area. What happened to Amici's? That place was pretty good.

In addition to Sugarland, some of the county's other outlying towns have some good places to eat-The Jay in Needville and a couple of places in Fulshear, like Dozier's, are good, if you want to drive a little.

Western Steakhouse still has good food, but the service has become horrible, at least on weekdays. Still not bad on Sunday after church. La Casona is just a poor replacement for Don Bravo. 2Ms is good, as is Jaime's in Richmond. I'll throw out La Unica in Rosenberg for a good tortilleria, too.

Good point, Sugarland is a real nice place to live, especially behind the sugar factory, or basically anywhere north of hwy 90 for that matter.

How is saying that there are some good restaurants in a certain area being envious? Guess I can't be complimentary. Sorry if I offended anyone in that third world company town yall call home. That town has been going downhill since Spielberg left.

Allahu Akbar Sugarlandites.
