I don't need any jokes about this.

I was curious if anyone knew of a good place to take an engagement ring setting and wedding band without the center stone, to get appraised and bought. Obviously I want somewhere that is reputable (no pawn shops), but I also want to get the best deal I can. I also do not want to mail my jewelry in somewhere. I want to go to the store. I am trying to sell the existing set that I originally got for my fiance so I can get her a better bridal set.

This is totally my decision, she has no idea I am even doing it. If she did she would probably object haha. I bought the original before I had my current job which is paying much better than the one I used to have, so I want to upgrade. I appreciate the help!

Not sure if they buy jewelry, but I had my wedding ring appraised for insurance purposes at I. W. Mark's. May be worth giving them a call to see what they offer.

Ring appraisal was ~$95 or so and was done rather quickly. Of course, I have full stones in mine, not just the band.
