Has anybody else on the west side picked up this station? It's out of Brenham I believe but, in far west Katy you can pick it up. It's a pretty awesome station. It's like a mix between 97.1 country legends with the Texas music mixed in.

I used to listen to it more before I got a car with XM. It's really clear from Katy to College Station in some areas. I could usually get it from Katy to downtown going to and from work.

By far my favorite radio station, just pisses me off how some days in comes in crystal clear and others not at all. Really hate it when that mix station out of San Antonio starts bleeding in with it's queer ass music in the middle of great song.

Yeah, that's Magic 105 in San Antonio. It's like easy listening or some such.

Great station & you can listen online - http://www.texasmix1053.com. I get it crystal clear about 75% of the time in The Woodlands. I believe their tower is located in Hempstead. Hopefully they will upgrade the signal once more listeners (and advertisers) jump on board.

It's an awesome station. The music "mix" is my favorite...and I like how they don't play a set playlist like your corporate owned stations...e.g. cumulus and what not.

It's good and if you're driving to SA you can pick up 92.3 Texas Renegade out of La Grange once 105.3 fades. It is basically an identical station, must be owned by the same folks.

great station; I believe it's in its 2nd or 3rd edition. Used to be like 92.5 and 107.3 I think. Listen to it up here via my laptop & cell phone.

This station is on full time as soon as my vehicle crosses 1960 going north on 45 everyday.

They just hired Corbin McLain (sp?) too. She's the girl that used to do back porch Sundays at the Chicken

PS - the station has been around a while. It used to be 92.5 I believe starting about 5-6 years ago. Then it was simulcast as 92.5 and 105.3 and then eventually 92.5 stopped airing. When it became 105.3 sometime around late 07, early 08 maybe, it got better reception and started reaching further and more clear

I met Corbin at MusicFest a couple years ago. She's really nice. Prior to that Mr. Sass and I went to see Jason Boland & The Stragglers at Billy Bob's one night. The band was signing autographs after the show and Roger Ray (steel guitar) noticed my Aggie ring. He asked if I knew Corbin from the radio in College Station and said I looked a lot like her...apparently she was his ex-girlfriend.

Fast forward to MusicFest...I was surprised to find we do look similar, she's just taller and thinner.

I still listen to KKYX 680am out of San Antonio which I can get in Houston. Best old country station I've ever heard.

Texas Mix is by far my favorite station...it's about time somebody realized that playin' Texas Country is the smart thing to do. I get tired of all this new spikey-haired, leather pants sportin', Rascall Flat look-alikes that pawn their music off as "country" to sell records. Nashville sucks!

Just pulled it up on WunderRadio on my phone and the second song they played was by Bruce Robison. This is not ordinary country radio. I'm hooked.
