Can anyone recall...doesn't Houston Garden Center usually go to a 75% off sale toward the end of the summer? Can anyone recall a specific (or general) time?
The one near me has some nice trees this year. Last year it was bare bones by the end of the summer but they still have a great selection this year. I guess whoever orders their inventory forgot the economy is a little slow.

aren't they always 50% off? just buy the tree. otherwise it's another year and you're still chasing fifty bucks.

Yeah they do the 75% off every year.

I've been wondering when it starts too, I was thinking it was sometime after the fourth or maybe towards August.

Better off to spend the extra money before the ground heats up anymore. The longer you wait in to the summer the higher chance you have a of killing the tree when you plant it.

Pretty sure it starts Labor Day weekend. I could be wrong though. The 50% started Memorial Day weekend.

I plan on keeping any trees potted until the spring.
They have some great fruit trees left at my local. Wish I could find a mango but they must have sold out early...didn't even see any in May.

Probably a little more expensive than HGC but for a Mango you might check out Buchanan's, they have Mango's that are for our area(more cold hardy).
