Anyone been to B&W meat market on north shephard? i'm trying to find a market that sells beef marrow and i have been unsucessful short of them trying to sell me shanks to get it that way.

Any suggestions?

I had my deer processed there from last season. They do have some very hard to find cuts. They offer like 25 different kinds of sausage, the garlic is very good. The Jalapeno is too hot for me, and I like stuff hot! My father and I were the only white folks in the place when we went to drop off and pick up. Not sure I addressed the question, but it's all I know about them.

Try Davis Meat Market on Lockwood Drive. It is in the hood, and you have to ring the doorbell to have them let you in. They were pretty awesome when I needed pork trimmings to make sausage. They might have what you're looking for. Also, get some cracklins when you go.

where on lockwood? i work near lockwood in the 5th

if you need a gallon jar of pickled pig lips...b&w has them. only been in once but didn't buy anything...looks like a pretty broad range of offerings and some decent people watching.

Stating the obvious...but have you tried Central Market? Call ahead and ask them and I bet they'll do it.

B&W will have them, as will Guy's.

In the Nickel, I've had great luck at Burt's on Lyons Ave. They'll have 'em - and a great lunch to-go.

Also, you can try La Michoacana or other carnicerias.

poster above- i have called a lot of those places and they in fact do not have it. i don't want shanks i want bulk bone marrow. i'm aware its going to be expensive, but there has to be someone who has it....maybe i can find it online somewhere...
