Welcome to Katy and the Houston board!

First, if you are new to this board, take what is said with a grain of salt. Pub Fiction is the official game watching site for the Ags, but it is located in Midtown and is certainly not walking distance from Katy!

Several places were mentioned by the others for game watching. Stars and Coaches have lots of TVs, but I am not sure how many will be dedicated to the Ags or if they would have sound for our game.

Sherlock's in La Centerra has some TVs, but it's not some place I would go to dedicatedly watch sports. Haven't been to Stadia.

A few of us try to meet on Thursdays for 42 if you are interested in dominoes. Meeting is at Indigo Joe's on Eldridge, just south of Memorial.

Edit to add - Katy still allows smoking in the bars, so if that's not your thing you will want to head into town. Also, the Katy A&M Club has a new president and is looking to get things rolling again. You can contact them if you are interested in joining.

I've wanted to try Frankenstein's Grill as well I always hear them mentioned on the radio.

Stars is crap...I mainly just feel that way because our 10 year high school reunion was held there, way to go KHS Class of 98 reunion committee

I've been to Frankenstein's for their lunch wing buffet. Bleh. Don't think I would do that again. Other than that I hear it's a cool place.

Been to Frankenstein's on Monday for .50 wing night. I could see where it may have some potential...in a kind of club/sports bar/strip mall kind of way but I haven't ever gone at night.

When I have gone on Mondays though it seems to be kind of a local yokel kind of place, like Einsteins.

Stadia in Cinco

I'm told a new sports bar is going to open in a few months at the old Texas Racks location (SW corner of Fry and I-10). Supposedly it will be called "Pub Hub" and will have good food and a top-notch A/V system.

That's a pretty good location...hopefully it will end up being a nice place because the sports bars in Katy are not that great (although I have not been to Stadia yet).

Stadia is pretty good. Beer on draft is ice cold, food is pretty good and lots of TVs. Its non-smoking which is also a bonus at least for me.

Stadia is nice. Was there last Saturday watching all 62 UFC fights leading up to the Chuck fight. Baker Street Pub is ok, but the smoke is a killer. Our waitress at Stadia was this cute little hispanic girl with really big hands. scenery is ok, but it is Katy.

The wings place at I-10 and Westgreen is money for watching games and stuff. Wild Wing Cafe is the name I think.

As far as tv set up and game watching experience goes, stadia is probably your best bet... but the food isn't good. Drink prices aren't bad either
