Despite the terrible name, has anyone seen a show there?

A band I used to see in Austin quite a bit called Mickey & the Motorcars is playing there tonight. Doubt I'll be able to make it - but they're a fun rock/western swing band if anyone's looking for something to do this evening.

Saw Lisa Hannigan there with The Low Anthem opening probably 7-8 months ago. It's basically a big open room w/ concrete floors and a bar at the back. Stage is not very elevated (or at least wasn't back then) and so if you're short it might be a pain to see. Probably holds in the neighborhood of 300-400 people. Beers are cheaper than in HoB which is a bonus. Nice little intimate venue just wish the setup was a little more band friendly (better sound and higher/bigger stage).

i caught gavin degraw's show in the bronze peacock last year. stage isn't too elevated, but the room only holds 400 so it's intimate for sure. overall, not a bad venue, but nothing special.

I was at the Blind Pilot/Low Anthem show there a few months ago as well. The room was nice enough, but there was a large population of d-bags hanging out at the back who had more interest in talking loudly and being seen than actually listening to the awesome show that was going on.

I'll take Walter's or Rudyard's any day over a HoB venue.
