i didn't know anyone still listened to 104

I heard "ROSES" this morning and I listen to it every Thursday morning so feel free to ask about it... that girl was trashy!

the actors are horrible on those calls.

Rehearsed or not, some are damn funny.

My favorite was about 2 months ago…the guy was fully aware of what what gimmick was going on.

GUY, “yeah, free roses??? Great! Send them to my wife’s mom, Cindy.”

HOST: “uhhh, okay…any message you want to leave?”

GUY: “yeah, thanks for doing me last night. You’re better than your daughter”.

Oh man, I grew up on 104 listening to the top 5 at 9 every night and Sam Malone and Maria Todd woke me up every morning. That seems like ages ago.

I used to call and talk to that feminine sounding dude that was always on at like 3am and also on with sam in the morning when I was in middle school. He loved to BS on the phone, guess he was pretty bored.

Honestly....there's no way those calls are real. I mean the person ALWAYS answers the phone. I never answer when it is a random number. If it is important I will let it go to voicemail.

i would imagine they call and do it off air, and play it as a recording.

same as the dean and rog birthday scam.

They do it either the day before or 2 days before they actually play it. I'm sure if the people don't answer the go on to the next person on the list who is trying to see if their SO cheating...

Not real. They need the person's permission to play it on the air and there's no way they would get it from the cheaters.

The old lady swears by Roula and Ryan. I want to pull my hair out when they are on, and 104 is the worst station in America. They single handedly ruin the Houston radio scene.

And for you sea gulls that actually believe those calls are real- I bet you really enjoy MTV's The Hills, Laguna Beach and Real Housewives of OC for its groundbreaking "realism"

A guy I used to work with was on one of their segments. He was in studio and two chicks were competing to win a date with him by answering his questions.

This guy was engaged, the date obviously never happened. It was all fake. He was doing it as a favor to a friend of his that worked for the station. I'd bet a large sum of money 90+% of the rest of the bullsheet on their "show" is faked too.

To be fair, while those two completely suck, a lot of media in general is faked like crazy. My favorites were the people that would believe me when I said you couldn't even remotely guarantee radio stuff wasn't faked, but wouldn't believe me that tv was just as bad if not worse because "we can see them".
