Coworker claims there is a "club" for guys that accomplish this on motorcycle.

absolutely no way you can avg 190 mph on 610.
its absolute BS. You could absolutely reach 190, but not average it. thats ridiculous.
not to mention there's always construction going on somewhere

I've been on 610 when "the club" attemps this. They actually go for 20 minutes. I was riding along in a 1967 Chevelle going about 110mph at 3 am-ish. We knew the guys were going to try it so we drank lots of coffee and waited for them to don their gear and fire up the bikes. We jumped on 610 going south and cruised up to 110 (thats about all the car would do with a 4.88 rear end.) I remeber seeing the lights for about 3 seconds, then it sounded like a 5000lbs mesquito passed us at mach 2. Seriously, all I saw was a blur of a white light and a red light. They passed us like we were sitting still. This was fall of 2001.

I don't see how that could be possible since there is always some part of 610 that is under construction. Right now it's 610 on the NE side that's horrible.
It's hard to go over 80 constantly the whole way around with all the construction/traffic...I've tried it.
what is the top speed of those bikes? i am wondering if there are certain straightaways where they could get up to 210+ for several miles at a time bringing the average down. 610 from 290 to 45, from 45 to hardy etc.

I can confirm this statement. I received the intoxicated phone call that a drive around the loop was being performed.

I remember back in "High" School in the mid 90s we would get on the loop and put it on cruise at about 80 and make about 4 or 5 rounds.
I have seen it done in 16 minutes in person. I can tell you go out on a Tuesday or Wednesday night between 3-4 am and you can see them for yourself.

20 min club. Heard them from just south of 43rd and TC a while ago. A police chase with ghetto bird interrupted a cuddling session with my b*tch and got me to pour a last drink and go outside...then when that faded, the suicide pact came around the bend and was like a massive legion of Asian battle hornets. I definitely believe it's absolutely doable in 17-18 min.

I can confirm that such a "club" exists. I have a very good friend that used to race AMA superbike and would ride with those guys on occasion. He told me this morning that he has done it in under 15 min with an average speed of approx 160mph. I told him he was a bigger idiot than I thought.
early lockdown days was pretty much their dream scenario.
I once rode shotgun with my neighbor who did it in 15 minutes in his Chevelle he built in his backyard. It had a 4:11 Posi-trac rear end, 750 double pumper carb, Edelbrock intake, bored over 30, and 11 to 1 pop-up pistons.
It was quite the ride.
