Our vet (Dr. Dawson at Bissonnet Kirby) sold his practice and retired. Anyone know the vet who is taking over or have another Aggie vet in the area that they like?

No idea if they're Aggies, but I've been happy with Meyerland Animal Clinic. Pretty close to the area you mentioned.

Looking at the website, it appears that most of the docs are indeed Aggies.

I was going to recommend Meyerland Animal Clinic too. I don't have any personal experience with them, but I pass by there everyday and it looks like a nice place.
Westbury Animal Hospital. Full of Ags (Eckermann, Johnston, Cooper, Chaulkey just to name a few.)

I'll second Westbury Animal Hospital. Dr. Eckermann is fantastic and his entire staff has been wonderful to work with. Their new facilities are the nicest I've ever seen for a vet clinic.

For those extreme boarders, Westbury Animal has dog suites with video cameras so you can keep an eye on your dog. They also have flatscreens so your dog can watch tv...crazy!
There is a clinic on the corner of Rice and Greenbriar, but they never seem all that friendly. All they do is take your dog to the back, and then bring them back with a rather large over priced bill. I don't know why I keep going back.

Another vote for Westbury Animal Hospital. Very nice facilities & good vets. I've seen Dr. Flores and Dr. Eckerman.
Zeph Moss at Meyerland Animal clinic is an Ag. He's a great vet, also.
Another kudo on Westbury Animal is they are about to be awarded the best clinic in the country. Have been going there since 1982 and all the people have been great.

Westbury is good but they are expensive. I moved and found another vet and my bills were about 1/3 less.
There are some Aggie veterinarians at Southside Place. Really miss them since we moved out of Bellaire:
