It was called Nathan's Physical Whimsical. I worked there the summer of '90, right before my senior year of high school. Laziest job I've ever had. All I did was walk around and hit on the girls who worked there, eat free nachos, popcorn and hot dogs, drink the free drinks and get free chocolate chip cookies from the girls I knew who worked at the cookie shop just outside the food court.

Good times.

Showbiz either mezmerized kids or scarred them 4 life. There was no in between.

plus the urban myth about hypodermic needles found in the plastic ballpits we used to frolick in as kids makes me want to spit up.

and when that kid broke his neck in the spider web thing at Fame City.

i loved showbiz, but even at an early age, the animatronic animal show didn't really impress me.

That sounds like it would make a kick ass movie, in the coming of age genre like Superbad/American Pie/Fast Times et al.

I still vow, to this day, to have a room with the plastic balls in my house.

I loved those things!

Games People Play-

How many people busted the arse climbing the wooden stairs up to the slides, and stopped in the little houses on the slide and waited for people to go by and scare them...

The game room that probably had black mold growing in it...

After it closed down, we used to go into the back parking lot on weekends and party... LOL...

Games People Play was awesome! I used to love going there...and ya - I used to bust my a** and scare people, too.

I loved the Saw Mill water slide with the big saw blade hanging over the slide. I was so sad when it closed down and we were forced to start going to Splashtown. I prefered the ghetto slides with no line.

PV mentioned death by waterslide. Didn't the owner (or someone) die there when they had a grand opening party? I remember a rumor/urban legend that someone got drunk and fell off the water slide.
