i agree. but it is where i have experience and interest. just a preference, because i have no idea what i would talk about in an interview with HP. i know jack about computers.

i know a girl that works at burnett staffing. she's offered to help me find jobs in oil/gas before, of course i'm sure they all could as well.

so based on that small tidbit, they would be my suggestion

I used Burnett once, and they found me a decent job in two days.

How are your grades?

We have temps come in at my job from time to time. Basically, the company has a contract of some sort with the temp agency and alerts them when they are looking to fill a need. Most of the time the need is short term, but there are times when they are looking temp to hire (usually a temp for 3 months then hired). The comany will pay the temp agency a certain amount per hour and the temp agency will pay you a set wage per hour and cut your check.

Carlton is the temp arm of Robert Half.

I worked for Primary Services in '98-99, '00-01, '06-07 (I used to work in non-profit - erego, the gaps in jobs). They have a lot of contacts in oil/gas and energy. I worked for Texaco, Huntsman, Arthur Anderson, Reliant Energy, and and some random engineering firm. My rep. was named Terri Lee - she usually had me some type of position within a week or so. Just my $.02.

Hopefully this URL will work for you. On Indeed.com you can do one search across multiple job boards. Then you can select to view Recruiters or Employers. I used finance and energy as my search criteria. Then I narrowed down but just looking at jobs posted by recruiters. Robert Half Finance & Accounting seems to have quite a few. Aerotek is another. I'd try both of those.
