Looking for someone who can do some serious maintenance to my gigantic pecan tree and remove another large tree from my property in the Heights.

If any of you have experience with someone who is reputable and cost effective, a referral would be great.

I had 6 trees (4 pine and 2 oak) taken out of my back yard this summer. All were full grown and had to be topped due to my back yard being fenced and the proximity to the neighbors house. I used Arbor Care for a large water oak I had to have removed from my Heights yard. It was like $1200. Make sure whoever you use has lots of insurance.

I used Texas Services for some general maintenance last Spring - they did a good job.

My father in law used a fly by night company and they dropped the tree right into his house. The company did not have insurance.

I think I use memorial tree service. Good work. trim the oak every three years.

When I needed that, Foster's Tree Service recommended Tommy's Tree Service for pruning.

I called Tommy's tree service for an estimate and he quoted me $300 and then went on to say if I did it right now he would lower it to $250. Seemed like he was trying to strong arm me. I still went and got other quotes and went with texas services and they did a good job and were one of the cheaper estimates.

Yeah, 300 sounds crazy cheap for an insured trimmer. I need a few midsize oaks and a maple trimmed...been delaying it cause I didn't feel like dropping a ton.

I guess I should have been more specific. I had them remove a smaller sized tree in my back yard. It was about 35-40ft tall. It was just one tree that was removed.
