other players that have participated in this tournament include michael beasley, carmelo anthony, and many others.

Brandon Jennings plays for Oak Hill. I don't think he's better than Greg Monroe though.

A bit irrelevant and sorry to hijack for a sec, but does anybody remember the Willowridge team from 2000-2001 that went 72-1, with a 62 game win streak and 2 5A State titles. TJ Ford( Texas, NBA), Daniel Ewing (DUKE, NBA) Ivan McFarlin (Oklahoma State, NBA) Kenny Taylor (Baylor, Texas)

Four MAJOR Division one players at elite basketball schools and 3 NBA players on the same freaking basketball team.

They were in our disctrict, so I got to see them play twice a year. By far the best team in Houston history and probably the entire nation.

I saw Oak Hill play a few years ago when Lawson was a senior and Beasley a Junior. They had a guy on the team that was a senior, 7', and heading to the University of Georgia on a full ride.

He did not start.

That's how good Oak Hill is. Year after year after year.

i followed that willowridge team closely and they were the best i ever saw. in the state finals thier senior yr, ivan mcfarlin had graduated the yr before and was already at okie light, and kenny taylor sprained his ankle in the first half and did not come back. tj ford and ewing dominated and they won. but the team from the yr before when mcfarlin was there was the best i have ever seen. i think oak hill is over-rated most yrs

the State Champion Willowridge team would have beat ANY Oak Hill team. Period.

they had 3 NBA players on the same team at the same time...

they were insane.

Wasn't the Bellaire team pretty good in 2001 too?
FtBendTxAg
How long do you want to ignore this user?
Bellaire was tough with Okafor, but not State tournament quality.

Didn't they have John Lucas too?

I forgot Lucas was on that team for a season. He's been on about 8 teams in the past 6 years and is hard to keep up with.
