Wife and I stopped by The Porch on Knox/Henderson on Friday afternoon to have a drink. It's where The Barley House used to be.

The drinks we had were phenomenal and the menu looks really good as well. I recommend the margarita and my wife had the blueberry martini. They had frito pie and grits on their lunch menu. They completely gutted that place and redid it. Pretty neat place.

Granted, around 7ish the trendsetters started rolling in and mucking the place up. The dresses that chicks are wearing right now that are supposedly in style are horrid. And they all look exactly the same.

next time, try the pecan pie.

Just another snotty place in Uptown, over-priced drinks and food just like everywhere else over there.

I even live in Uptown, there are way better places for cheaper to go to than there!

A friend of mine has eaten there and said it was very good.

I can't judge the food but the drinks we had were great. Granted, they were expensive at $9 a pop but that was the best margarita I've had in a long time.

Regarding food prices they aren't any more expensive than any other mid to high range restaurant in Dallas which is pretty much every restaurant inside the loop.

Maybe you should try Pancho's.

Very good food. And I usually hate the trendy type places.
