We've given Hulen Hills a small fortune in the last two years with our hounds. We use Dr. Nigliazzo exclusively unless it's an emergency (which happens more often than we'd like). I can't say enough good things about Nigliazzo. He's a really good person and has the best interest of your hound in mind.
He doesn't recommend anything unless he thinks it's really needed and has always treated our hounds like his own. He's also really good about following up to make sure they're doing fine. If he were to go somewhere else we'd likely follow.
Hulen Hills is the most expensive in town so it all depends on what you want. I do like the fact that they have 24 hr. care and since we use them as our regular vet they always have their files on hand.
As for boarding we take ours to Hound Around Day Care -
http://www.houndarounddaycare.com/Our hounds absolutely love this place. I don't know that I'd recommend it for any dog under 6 months since they'll be with other dogs and need a strong immune system just to be safe. It's a bit suspect driving up but DeeDee is great. We take our dogs crates up there and they sleep in their own beds at night so it's kind of like home.
We've also used Abbey's Pet Sitting when we need someone to let them out during the day.
