Jagger, Mondo Mike, Dean Lewis, and Jasmine??? Are they all gone?

We just made some personnel changes but I didn't know KDGE did too. Who is in the morning slot right now?

They were on earlier this week...wasnt listening this morning

I hope they are gone. Got tired of waking up to that crap in the morning they call a show.

the edge morning show is HORRIED! Some dipshats trying to act like he knows about sports sports & then some game involving sex. Then they play TOOL or Metallica. Not that these arent good bands...but at 7am???

I switched to it twice this morning. I heard Korn & System of a Down. Why must we play the heavy metal in the morning?? Why??

I haven't listened to them in months, got really annoyed with them. They literally were waking me up with a headache. I just remember my alarm clock going off at 7AM the morning after the new homeless shelter had been approved in Dallas. I woke up to Dean (I believe, the obnoxious one that did most of the talking) calling one of thier listeners a "piece of shat" because they offered a different opinion than his on it. That was the last straw for me, radio was switched to 99.5 for the wake up.

I hadn't heard about it. I found them mildly entertaining, but I wouldn't call myself a regular listener. Maybe about 20 minutes a week.

Might have to try that. I just need a time killer during The Ticket commercials.

No mention of the morning edge on the kdge website. Looks like they are gone.

Satellite radio - no more dumb morning shows, commercials, etc. If I want to listen to anything other than music on the drive in, it will probably be WBAP or KRLD for some news, other than that I always avoid the morning shows.

I remember when 94.5 The Edge was a great station but I haven't really listened to it much in years (and since they moved to 102.1 - the old Q102).

The Musers on The Ticket are the cure for the morning radio show... they are greatness.

I wouldn't assume they're moving onto another market. There are only four larger markets in the US than DFW. Nowhere to go but down. A good portion of the former DJs from the area are no longer in radio.

The Hardline was actually talking about the Morning Edge on Community Quick Hits on Tuesday.

Apparently, all of hosts had contracts that were due to expire with Clear Channel. They tried to negotiate a new contract, but Clear Channel didn't like their proposal (much, much more money), so they didn't renew their contracts, hence no morning show.

Jagger will find something somewhere else. He used to have his dating show and his morning show, so his exposure will land him something decent. As far as Mando Mike, Dean and Jasmine are concerned, I'm not sold on them landing somewhere lucrative.

That said, I used to listen to the Morning Edge back in 1999-2000 when it was still Jagger, Ryan and Julie. Ryan was fired because of something; no one would comment, but it apparently caused a stir. Julie renegotiated and her contract was not renewed, so she's now on 102.9 with their morning show.

I started listening to the Ticket a couple of years ago and haven't looked back since. The Musers are FAR BETTER than the Morning Edge ever was. I love listening to Muse in the News on my way to work.

1 - I work for Clear Channel here in Dallas, typically for 102.9.

I wouldn't call Julie moving to KDMX "renegotiating", but Julie is no longer with 102.9. I can't say much more than that. (I actually don't KNOW much more than that. They're pretty tight-lipped about these thing.)

Looks like Lex & Terry are taking over. I actually liked their morning show for the short time I listened in the mornings (when they did Nearly Impossible Trivia).

The edge morning show sucked. Listen to the Musers on 1310 the ticket.

The Morning Edge started going down hill when Slim Jim left. Losing Julie and adding Mondo was the final blow. That show went from funny to sucky in about 6 months.

BTW, just reread platoon's post. I'm not sure where Hardline gets their info, but it's just not right. They didn't attempt to renegotiate the old morning show's contract at all. They were simply let go.

I just listened to the replacement morning show and think I prefer the music. I am not exactly sure who these guys were but they were not very good.

I did listen to the ticket and caught the bit about the OSU basketball coach. Pretty funny, but I work in sports and can get saturated by it.

that shouldn't be a problem since the ticket only talks about sports 50% of the time....especially this time of the year when nothing is going on.

4th day in a row and Lex & Terry still suck. By the amount of phone calls they've been getting it looks like they've got ahold of their key demo of white trash.
