The first weekend in August my husband and I are coming to Dallas for a long weekend. I am from Richardson but have lived in CS since graduating. We are planning on going to The Dallas World Aquarium, The Dallas Zoo, The Sixth Floor Museum and the George W Bush Presidential Library. We are looking for places to eat as well as things we might do if we have extra time. TIA!

Live in the area. Dont imagine the things to do part has changed much.

Would recommend our favorite restaurant of the past few years for the area. Panevino Osteria. Regional excellent Italian, not red pasta type. Never had anything we didn't really like and have tried a lot of specials. Great drinks. They just opened a second in Plano, but we like to go sit at the bar at the Addison location on Beltline. They get busy, so reservations recommended. Have found you can call and reserve a couple bar seats a bit in advance.

Otherwise, there are the tons of excellent choices that haven't probably changed much since you were there.

If you're going to the presidential library anyway, I've actually heard great things about Cafe 43 onsite there for lunch.

Sisters is one of my favorite restaurants. It's on Greenville Avenue. It's also close to Goodwin's, which has a pretty cool vibe and good food. But the food is better at Sisters imo.

Both are excellent recs. And I too put Sister above Goodwin, but both are fun. If you go to Goodwins, get there early (or stay after) and go to the back bar.

Get a drink and an appetizer at Goose Bar (Goodwin's) and then go to Sister for the meal.
